I’ve been messin’ with the clan’s debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) for over a month now, and I’m hooked to say the least. Classic rap is great because it mixes classical sounds (i.e. this piano riff) with head-bobbing flow, and “C.R.E.A.M” song is a perfect of said combination.
In addition, the lyrics are more meaningful than the majority of what modern rap produces (about hookers & blow, etc.). In the main hook, Method Man stresses in few words how prevalent the pursuit of money is in our culture. Dolla’ dolla’ bill y’all.
